Noruz! Persian New Year Zoom Cookery Lessons

Three Zoom Cook-Along Masterclass events cooking and baking the Persian New Year dishes: Ashe Reshte 11th March 6.30-8.30pm, Bakhlava 17th March 7-8.30pm and Sabzi Polo va Mahi 18th March 6.30-8.30pm. + bonus DEMO'S of extra side dishes with each cook-along session. From my Granny's kitchen to my tiny kitchen to your kitchen, you will learn to make:

  • Ashe Reshte and a quick & easy flat bread on the 11th March 6.30-8.30pm

Ashe Reshte is one of the classic and most significant dishes in Persian Cuisine! A Persian New Year staple dish it is a delicious and nourishing blend of fresh herbs, pulses, spinach, beet leaf, with the star ingredient being Persian Noodles and garnished with caramelised fried onions, fried garlic and fermented yoghurt whey. Easy to make as a Gluten Free, Dairy Free dish, this chunky soup (Ashe) hits all the taste spots and is supper healthy too!

I will also demo for you how to make quick and easy flat bread to go with the Ashe Reshte

  • Persian Bakhlava and Fereni (another popular Persian desert) on the 17th March 7-8.30pm

Exquisitely delicious Bakhlava made specifically according to the unique Persian style that combines ground almonds with cardamom, sugar and rose water and is encased in a thin thin pastry, drenched in Rose or Orange Blossom Syrup and garnished with ground pistachio & rose petals.

I will also show you how to make another very popular Persian desert called Fereni

  • Sabzi Polo va Mahi and the classic Persian Salad Shirazi on the 18th March 7-8.30pm

Steamed Herbed Rice cooked on top of crispy slices of potato and served with Saffron and Narenge ( Sevile Orange) / Lemon and garlic seasoned Fish.

I will also show you how to make another very popular Persian classic salad called Salad Shiraxi
